If you are reading web pages in CAD LAB of Knowles Building, you can use NJWin Multilingual System only.
Unzip the file by choosing "Install" in the toolbar of Winzip. The programme would run automatically and avoid protection set in Archi CAD LAB.
The demo version (NJWIN120.ZIP) can be downloaded from
HKU Dept. of Arch ASA server.
If you are using English version of MS Windows 95, you can use NJWin Multilingual System.

Another alternative is to use UW-DBM 4.0 with English version of MS Windows. The demo version (uwcjk40e.zip) can be downloaded from here. For users inside Hong Kong, you can get it from the CUHK FTP server.
Special settings of Netscape to be set under Options -> Preferences -> Fonts and Colors:
For the Encoding: Japanese [Set it first before setting others] Use the Proportional Font: *Taipei* or some other Chinese fonts Use the Fixed Font: *Taipei* or some other Chinese fonts Default Encoding: SJISIf you run Netscape 2.0 or above with the CLK loaded, you can simply set Language to Traditional Chinese.

You can also use Netscape 2.0 beta to view the Chinese characters. You can get the software from here if you are in Hong Kong. Otherwise, please try Netscape's ftp site.
Alternatively, you can use cxterm plus the text-based WWW browser lynx. You can get cxterm from here.
